We all have our own interpretation of “success” and usually it involves being financially better off. There’s no doubt money can make life a lot easier and is a wonderful thing when used wisely.

Of course, not everyone wants a lavish lifestyle, or craves public recognition as Stephen Bray recently pointed out when discussing video attraction marketing. There are many very wealthy individuals who prefer to work anonymously. It takes a brave person to put himself or herself “out there”.

I was thinking about that this morning as I watched President Obama and his lovely wife attend a breakfast meeting with Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his wife Sarah.

Why?

Well, the security was intense. He was surrounded by hundreds of special agents and security forces. He travelled in”The Beast”, and had to take a secret route to No.10 Downing Street to fool any would be terrorist. He couldn’t walk anywhere or enjoy the sights. Everyone wanted a piece of him.

What sort of life is that?

Now I know it’s not quite the same for the likes of Alex Jeffreys, Frank Kern, Maria Andros, Andrew Fox, Michael Cheney, etc. who are all very inspirational, larger than life internet marketers, quite at ease behind a camcorder, but as their following grows the chances of them being recognised in the street must drastically increase. Also, they are in demand and Alex has recently admitted to going “underground”.

Maybe they all like attention - I’ve no idea, but I suspect there’s a bit of an actor inside each of them. They seem to like performing on the world stage, for that’s what the internet is.

Still, without their visible entrepreneurial talents, I doubt most of us would have achieved what we have today - certainly not Alex Jeffreys Coaching Student, Garry Parkes, who had an idea and ran with it. He produces a brilliant newsletter (with help from his friends and other students of course), and it’s available for just exchanging your name and e-mail address. You can see the video promoting The Profit Pulling Project video here and it’s worth watching just for the music.

Producing videos currently seems the way to go if you want to be successful on line at least good videos. That’s something I need to work on big time, and there are some other of Alex Jeffreys students who provide great free advice on the subject.

Two of them are Steven de Gracia and Rob Brooks if what they say is true, anyone “should” be able to produce a half decent video with a bit of effort and a few simple tools and effects - even me!.

I was going to attempt one yesterday with a few different transitions, a bit of music, etc, but ended up on the end of a shovel and a wheel barrow instead. My elderly father was trying to dig the garden and clearly struggling, so the choice between making my fame and fortune and getting down and dirty was a “no brainer”.

My family will always come first. The internet isn’t going anywhere but my dad just might!
