What has GDI got to do with the King of Western Samoa?

Interestingly just two letters.

GDI (Global Domains International) is not a new company. It’s been around since 1999, but I’ve only just heard the story of its origins and it conjured up all sorts of images to me… none of them correct, I’m sure.

However, the story is, two astute guys by the names of Michael Reed and Alan Ezeir realised ten years ago the demand for domain names was huge. They also realised it wouldn’t be too long before all the good ones would be taken, especially in the most familiar ones.

Michael and Alan set out on a task to find a different file extension which they could market all over the world. As I said, these guys were pretty astute. After all, there are internet users in all parts of the globe and where the internet is allowed and accessible, there will be people wanting domain names.

They didn’t want to go for the .com market, which originally stood for “commercial”.

.bus, .net and .org didn’t rock their boats either, so they looked elsewhere.

Their search took them to country file extensions and they looked at .us (USA), .ca (Canada), .mx (Mexico), .es (Spain), .de(Germany) but none really had that worldwide generic appeal until they discovered …

.ws (Western Samoa)!

Suddenly they realised they had the answer, after all .ws could easily be construed as “website”.

Pretty clever, wouldn’t you agree?

Anyway, off they went to visit the King of Samoa to request he allow them to market the .ws extension all over the world, and here’s where my mind went into overdrive.

I envisaged a meeting something like that in the Mutiny Of The Bounty, where the King sat on the beach surrounded by skimpily clad individuals, decked with flowers and offering fruit to the visitors, whilst they handed over their chests of treasure and made their .ws proposal.

I know – I need a reality check!

Well, no matter how the meeting actually took place, the King agreed they could market the file extension across the globe provided within three years the two men could provide 15,000 registrations.

Michael and Alan set off on their mission and Thirty days later, they returned!

The King of course granted permission and the rest, as they say is history…

…but not quite.

GDI

First of all, Michael Reed and Alan Ezeir applied to the US Dept of Commerce for exclusive world wide registry for all .ws domain names on earth. They got it, and spent the next two years approaching the big players in the industry, who eagerly signed up for the .ws extension. After all, when you have a great brand you want to do all you can to protect exclusive rights to it, and you’ll see names like Yahoo, e-Bay, DisneyWorld, and JC Penney with .ws branding.

The company built up a reputation – solid, solvent, stable, profitable, and is now one of the fastest growing companies in USA.

They realised though, the internet is growing – FAST. More and more people are wanting their own internet address for life, and not just big businesses. Mom and Pop industries, families, fund raisers, schools, etc., everyone wants to stake their claim on the big world wide web.

GDI therefore decided to open up their .ws opportunity by offering it to everyone worldwide as a complete affordable domain and hosting package with an optional built-in business opportunity.

It’s great!

I like the idea of JeanShaw.ws

So what do you get, and how much does it cost?

Well the cost is just $10 per month and for that you get -

  • domain name with w.s. extension
  • web hosting
  • 10 custom web pages
  • 10 different e-mail addresses
  • simple point and click set-up
  • 24/7 customer support
  • +

  • free built-in business opportunity
  •

So what is this free built in business opportunity?

Now I hate selling, and whilst I know if you get money for something then it becomes selling, this seems different somehow.

Basically, if you introduce someone to the complete package and they decide to get their own piece of the web for $10 per month, because of your recommendation, you get $1.

Now, you might think that’s not much, BUT you get $1 per person, per month, for as long as that person remains a customer, and let’s face it, if you’ve got a web presence and hosting, for $10 per month promoting whatever it is you need to promote, whether it’s for business, personal, fun or profit, then you’re not going to cancel.

Most people spend more than that on junk food each week, yet alone each month.

Another thing is you earn commissions for any sale referred through your affiliate link up to five layers deep apparently so just by introducing one person to the great package, you could theoretically earn yourself $5.

Anyway, I’ve signed up and IF you want to check it out, and IF you decide to stake your claim on the web through my link, yes I’ll get $1 per month if you stay, so I will have sold you something I suppose, but I won’t feel too bad about it because not only will you get an affordable domain and hosting package, but also the same legitimate, no risk, affordable, flexible, work from home global opportunity, , as I have, IF you want it.

It’s up to you, but GDI is an “in demand” consumable product.

    Here’s the link -

    Take care and good fortune.
