If you’re a regular reader of this blog you may have noticed some strange goings on recently. In short – I briefly lost all my posts for September and early October.
So, what happened?
Well, I had to change the dns servers hosting all my accounts, and somewhere during the transfer, they went walkabout . Thanks to the brilliant customer service team at GVO, though, they’ve just returned safely back home.
Currently, there are still a few issues with images and links but it’s being worked on.
Anyway, you’d expect me to be annoyed wouldn’t you, but I’m not.
Why?
Because I believe everything happens for a reason, (reminder to back up everything), and also because something else happened yesterday which put the whole situation into perspective.
My uncle died!
Actually, “uncle John” wasn’t really related, but he and my dad were like brothers. They grew up together, had been great friends all their lives.
Uncle John drove me to my wedding in his posh car many years ago, and I have many fond memories of him.
Yes, yesterday, I lost 6 weeks worth of work, but I’ve got them back.
Yesterday, I also lost my uncle John. He’s never coming back, so in the great scheme of things, blog posts, links and images are pretty irrelevant aren’t they?
Take care
