Here's my absolute favourite company - GVO - hosting with a difference!
Yet again I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone and done something successful marketers do – issued a Press Release.
What a weird experience – at least it was for me.
I’ve never done it before, mainly because I never thought I had anything interesting to say, but since I’ve just won a signed GVO tee-shirt, and GVO is launching TODAY, it seemed the appropriate time.
Of course, I can’t really see anyone being interested in my tee-shirt, no WIFM (what’s in it for me) in that, but one of the tips to successful press releases (apparently) is to make it timely.
As 20 October, 2009 is the day GVO are expected to make internet marketing history, I couldn’t have chosen a better time to get my feet wet, could I?
Now, I like writing, or at least I seem to be able to string a few sentences together without too much difficulty, but I like to do it as if I’m talking to someone face to face.
You don’t do that with press releases.
Instead you find an angle and then talk as if you’re a reporter. It meant I found myself talking about myself – weird.
I remember many years ago when I was first trying to help my youngest son who has autism, I attended a two week Son-Rise Program and I have to say it was brilliant.
It gave me hope and acceptance. One of the best ways for parents of autistic children to help their offspring is to accept the fact they have a problem.
Many don’t.
The program reinforced what I already knew deep down - my son was doing the best he could. Sometimes, (make that many times) that wasn’t very obvious!
Anyway, part of the program was opening up about yourself and talking about how you felt and what you wanted. I found it very uncomfortable.
Most people do.
How often have you thought about yourself? I mean really thought about yourself – how YOU really feel, and what YOU really want?
More importantly, WHY you want it?
I’ll bet you don’t because to do so would seem selfish. At least that’s how it felt to me. I was so used to giving and doing things for others, I’d forgotten what I wanted.
I’d lost control.
Press Releases are a means of gaining control, because YOU submit the information. Obviously, the aim is to achieve whatever it is you really want, so it helps to know what it is.
I didn’t like writing the Press Release, but did so because it made me consider yet again the whole purpose of this blog and why I’m here.
My big WHY is my youngest son.
He’s twenty years old now, has autism, and the likelihood of him ever having some form of employment is slim. It’s difficult enough for people even without disabilities.
Anyway, I want to be in a position, whereby I can work from home at the hours I choose, have some sort of income and support him when he leaves college in 2011, whilst helping others in some way at the same time.
That’s not too much to ask, or too selfish is it?
So, the result I want from my press release is this…
I want everyone who reads it to -
* listen to my poem
* realise GVO’s hosting and marketing tools can seriously benefit their business
* sign up for the $1 trial under my link
* fall in love with the products and decide they can’t live without them
That way, I could earn some residual income, which would help me achieve what I really want, and I wouldn’t feel guilty, because I’d know the GVO products and services I’d introduced would benefit the people using them too.![]()
That’s what I’d call a win-win situation, and the reason I wrote the following press release.
UK Author Jean Shaw Wins Coveted Signed Tee Shirt In GVO Launch Competition
UK author, Jean Shaw, was one of the first winners chosen to receive a signed tee shirt commemorating the imminent launch of GVO hosting.
Participants in the signed tee shirt competition had to submit a short video explaining why they were with GVO, what they thought of the products, and where they thought the company would be heading. Staff at GVO headquarters chose the winning entries.
Jean Shaw, best known for her books on autism and mercury poisoning submitted a video and poem to win her coveted GVO tee shirt. Uncomfortable behind the video camera, she said of her initial entry, she just spoke from the heart.
GVO, a hosting package with a difference, is set to launch on 20th October, 2009, and Joel Therien and Mikey P, the brains behind this powerful package, say GVO will make internet marketing history.
Already, the pre-launch has attracted thousands of eager subscribers, many opting to take the $1, fourteen day trial, enabling them to “try” before they “buy”.
The company foundation has been established for twelve years and has an outstanding track record. GVO moved location from Canada to Texas in the USA to accommodate its phenomenal growth, and now sits in the heart of the fibre optic mecca.
GVO owns the land on which it sits, all the servers, cables, and the products providing the essential marketing tools included in the powerful Titanium package. That, explains GVO President, Joel Therien, is why the three different hosting packages to suit all budgets are so affordable.
Many top internet and network marketers have been attracted to GVO’s private label reseller hosting, some of whom provide free weekly training and motivational strategies to viewers of the regular GVOAcademy webinars.
Apart from unlimited hosting, the GVO Titanium package provides a huge variety of website and sales letter templates, unlimited autoresponders, an easy video producer, conferencing rooms, downtime witness, training, and friendly, superior 24/7 customer support.
A further incentive to join GVO Titanium is the in-built business opportunity and compensation plan. Even without that additional bonus, the top package provides incredible value at just $44.95 per month.
The poem, which clinched her place in the competition was created with Powerpoint and turned into a video so she didn’t have to appear on screen. You can find her entry at http://www.jeansmenopausalmoment.com/gogvo.html
